My first experience in hammock camping was a weekend in Ohio using the 11' Camping Hammock with 12' Tarp Bundle. I was lucky to be with other more experienced folk who okayed my setup which wasn't at all difficult.I was very comfortable in the hammock and well protected by the tarp with it's doors.
This past weekend there was scheduled to be a cold front moving in with expected heavy rain and thunderstorms.
I went out for this reason to give my equipment a good test, which I like to do every once in a while. Set up camp with my hammock, under quilt and tarp as usual. Sure enough Saturday night it come a severe thunder storm and it lived up to the hype given by the weather forecast. I was up on a small ridge and the rain stared to get heavier and heavier then burst of lightening appeared through the tarp and this storm was getting something fierce. I could hear the wind coming in gust which sounded like waves crashing the beach. All I could think of was maybe there was some kind of cell over me turning and each time it got back to the wind side, whoosh again. It got so bad that the tarp was blowing into the hammock and rocking me from side to side. This went on about two and half hours of heavy downpour. My gear got tested for sure. I must say that the only worry I had was the tent stakes that were holding the tarp would turn loose, but they did not. With the ends closed up in the tent configuration no rain got in and the gear held its own. Bottom line is I would trust OneWind gear in any weather condition. Stayed dry and warm through it all even with the 30 degree temp drop and storm front that came through. Remember to always check for widowmakers when you set up, I do not want to test for dropping limbs.

Ich bin sehr Glücklich in 5 Tagen wurde mir alles nach Deutschland Geliefert zoll hat ohne Probleme funktioniert. Ich habe mir alles genau angeschaut, und überall daran gezogen. Hält alles und ist gut verarbeitet. Keine abstehenden Fäden und keine Fehler erkennbar. Alles was bestellt wurde ist da! Sobald ich es getestet habe melde ich mich wieder aber erstmal alles top. Got a chance to use the hammock under quilt and top quilt on a 3-day kayak trip.
I must say I've been using a budget hammock for the past few years and I couldn't believe the difference in the One Wind gear. It didn't get really cold maybe in the upper 50's but I was just fine all night. I highly recommend to get the entire system I love the way the under quilt and top quilt snap together so it don't slide around and try to fall off the hammock.
4 days in the North Cascades. Rain, snow, and wind. Setup was awesome.
