Multi-Usage: Warm Style and Cool Style

    • Tighten each end of the cord, the two ends are completely attached to the hammock to keep it warm, and suitable for colder weather. When fully released, the two ends can be hung down, suitable for warmer days.
    • Integrated shock cord lines allow for vent adjustment and maintain the gather at the ends of the underquilt.

Bottom Insulation - No Cold Bottom in Winter

    • Tighten the middle part of the underquilt (for a normal underquilt, the part under the butt and the leg are hanging down, and can’t be completely attached to the hammock, so the butt and the bottom of the leg will be cold. This is a common problem, using the two rubber cords, you can tight the bottom and leg parts of the underquilt to completely attached to the hammock, it will help you feel warm.)

Double Side Bag: Easy Setup and Keep Clean

    • Engineered to make storage and set up a breeze. Double side compression bag keeps the underquilt clean, contained, and off the ground. Connect one side and release the hammock underquilt from the compression bag as you go.

Adjustment Cords & Easy to Adjust

    • There are cinch cords completely around the underquilt. You can adjust the underquilt position, and shape easily to suit your comfort best.

    Easy Setup

    1. Clip carabiner at one end. Take the bag and go to the other end and clip it. No need to pull the entire underquilt out to install, helping to keep it cleaner and less prone to damage.
    2. Every time you put away your underquilt, the two carabiners can stay outside the bag. When you go to hang it again, there is no need to rummage for hardware.
    3. After hanging the underquilt, you don't have to remove the bag. Just let it hang directly on the underquilt suspension, so when it is time to pack up, you don't have to look for the stuff sack.

I??ve been using this underquilt for the last year, and I hammock camp quite a bit. So tons of testing here in 3 seasons.

      The Bad:

Had some stitching rip open on the very first hang. I caught it early and repaired it. No problems since, but it happened.

Cords and more cords. And when you think you??ve found them all, you find some more adjustments. So many cords. Absurdly complicated to adjust. Setting up this underquilt takes as long as setting up my hammock, suspension, ridge lines, tarp, gear hammock, and everything else combined. Setup is like a nightmare.

It doesn??t compress down well at all. If you??re backpacking, prepare to devote a lot of room to your new heavy and bulky underquilt.

      The Good:

It is nicely water resistant. I was trapped in my hammock last fall for 18 hours straight, due to torrential downpours. The underquilt repelled moisture amazingly well, and I wasn??t even using an underquilt protector. I was blown away.

This underquilt is crazy warm. The stated temperature rating on outdoor gear is usually a survivability number, with the comfort rating actually being 10 or 20 degrees higher. This underquilt is rated for 40 degrees, and I was toasty at 35 degrees. I could have been cold but survive at a much lower temperature. Maybe 25.

So there it is. If you buy it, inspect the seams carefully upon arrival, and be able to repair some dodgy stitching. Take it car camping, so you don??t have to make room in your backpack. And when you get to camp, leave your self a bunch of time to adjust the 97 attached cords. But after that, it??s all comfort and gravy. So dry and warm. A great night??s sleep, which is what truly matters.

All in all, it??s a damn good car camping underquilt. But I wouldn??t go on a long hiking trip with it.

I wish it would pack a little smaller but what more can you ask at this price range?

I checked a lot of brands offering underquilts as I'm not a fan of spending lots of money on quality that I can find in lower priced brands. There are many reviews out there but I decided to give Onewind Outdoors a try considering the features that this product has.
My boyfriend is 5'8", so finding something that envelopes his entire underside was very important to me so he can sleep comfortably and won't feel cold especially when camping outdoors. This camping underquilt definitely toasts you warm on chilly nights. It's advertised as made with 400T Nylon Fabic with Dupont Sorona fiber insulation so it's really soft and comfortable. The water resistant fabric is another great feature as I can be rest assured that I won't get wet even if the underquilt gets pelted a little.
I would definitely recommend this product. It lighter than other UQs and compacts down to the size of my down-sleeping bag. Again, not a fan of reaching deep into my pockets to buy equipment from a top brand company when I can purchase something at a fraction of the cost and of the same, if not better, quality overall.
