↟↟I received this product recently and managed to test it on only one winter hike, but I can say with confidence that minimalism is great! I usually used my 3x3 m tarp, and in many cases this size was not required, I also had to carry extra weight with me, and then dry it all at home for several days, especially in winter. This multitasking shelter is perfect for a short camping 1-2 days as a canopy or as an auxiliary element in longer hikes. The quality of manufacture, materials and design are at a high level..I also like this color, which is great for my Ultralight Survival Shelter from OneWind. It is also easy to store and carry in a backpack.. it is removed into the case as easily as a sleeping bag.. there is no need to fold it in half and so on..just stuffed it in a random order and it's done. In winter I'm going to use it on the snow as a litter and waterproofing and in the warmer months as a canopy. Also, this size and weight will suit my 9-year-old son well for setting up a camp.

?I really liked the portability, even in the largest of the three groundsheet sizes. As you can see in the attached pictures and video, it can be used several ways. My only concerns are its durability and water resistance because the nylon fabric is so thin. I would recommend not leaving it in direct sunlight for extended periods of time and avoid sharp twigs or rocks when used as a groundsheet.
Versatile and durable. Makes a great ground cloth to put your gear on and sit on when you're out hiking and backpacking. One the problems I have when I go hiking is that in the PNW, everything in the forest is usually wet or muddy. To solve this I've often brought along a camp chair, but it's heavy, cumbersome, and a pain to set up. This ground cloth solves this problem nicely. Waterproof and durable I can just put it out anywhere, drop my gear on it, and have a seat. In the photo above I've laid it out on a hike up Easton Ridge and although the ground was dry, I didn't want to grind dirt into my clothes. Again, ground cloth to the rescue. The cloth has tie-outs all around it so I'm going going to experiment with how this can be used as a shelter, augment my winter setup, used as a gear hammock, etc. I did take a star off the five I was going to give it because I couldn't get it back into the little bag it came in. Other than that, great tarp!
This is the cheapest quality ultralight tarp I was able to find. Great quality and price to weight ratio.
